Karmaloop/Militree Party Recap
What we thought was gonna be just a simple in-store/painting gig ended up being a full-on shoulder to shoulder rager.
Boston and Karmaloop came through in droves for what was one the best nights of the summer for Militree.
And the photos....
Myself about to board the plane in SD to Philly connecting to Boston.

A view of the Philly airport at 3:00 am. My flight was late coming in and U.S Airways just told me to "kick it" for the night. Scum.
Sleeping in the airport is like jail only without the bologna sandwiches and powdered flavor drink.

So after a failed attempt at sleeping in the Philly airport I decided to kill 6 hours by drawing, talking with a janitor named Donald, and listening to Joy Division.
But it all turned out to be worth the wait cause when I went to board my 6:30 a.m flight to Beantown this lady had a pet monkey in her bag. WTF?

Two of the four original Militree pieces Charlie did for the show. From about 10 feet away you'd think they were just photos.

Charlie painted the final details of this piece during the party.

As real as it gets.

Charlie Pratt, and Paul Gately (Militree Rep) Locals Only.

Thinking that no one was gonna show up at 8:00pm I was floored to walk in at 9:00pm late to our own party with a full house.

New Balance and Karmaloop plotting perhaps?

Paul getting awesome with some bartending skills.

Wicked Hawt Chicks Bro.

More Hawt Ladies.

Paul, Chip-Set (the dude behind the new Yo MTV Raps/Puma) and Greg (the CEO of Karmaloop.)

Weapons of choice.

.

This dude Jose stole the camera and took a self portrait.

My man Nic Hill (director of "Piece by Piece", the best graff movie of the last 10 years) and myself gettin' stupid serious.

Gio of Karmaloop a.k.a The Cuban Link with DJ JayCeeOh (the best dj in Boston)

Paul phoning Rosario Dawson with Chip Set.

Old people will do anything you tell them too.

Looks about right.

The only thing Bostonians care about is booze.

Ante up.

Charlie, Skip, and Paul frozen. Peep the Karmaloop/Militree tee designed by Charlie just for the party. Good luck getting one.

Paul attempting to call Ed Lover on the Yo MTV Raps Puma.

That's most of the flicks from the party.
Now here's one of the first of many looks at the Bodega Shop in Boston.
The store has only been open for about 9 weeks and I managed to snap some flicks in between gushing over their stock.
A lot of good sneakers including a pair of purple/cream Clyde's that I stupidly passed up on. Chip-Set hook it up b?

The new RBK NFL Hat/Sneaker combos. Look at that wood grain son.

I stole this pose from Paul outright. Look at the diposition it oozes. See those new Air Stab Premiums. Got those hand delivered from Nike Town Boston. Good lookin Paul.

Bodega's got books, zines, tees, sneakers, art, and just about everything else you'd expect from a top shop.

Now, most people know I personally despise parodies, but every once in a while someone does something fresh and this Bodega Brand T-Shirt with a dead Mars and Bodega text was too good to pass up.

Did I mention they have the largest selection of vintage Nike windbreakers I've ever seen? Modestly price too.

Special thanks to everyone that made this weekend diesel:
Matthew, Zach, Nay Nay, Manhandle, Jeremiah, Greg, Gio, Will, the entire Karmaloop Store staff, Paul, Charlie Pratt, Chip Set, Nic Hill, Vince from D2D, Robert, the dudes from Bodega store, Nick McPherson and the whole Beantown.
